Question: Where can someone hear a Northwest Super Group when it comes to tunes you can't help but sing along with & want to get up & shake your tail feathers to . Make musical memories with this group that combines The Beatles, Eagles & more.
It started in the back of my parents '63 Buick Special station wagon between Lexington and Frankfurt, Kentucky, (NOT LIKE THAT). That's when I first heard the Beatles "Yesterday". Though I was very young, I knew enough that there was something incredibly special about what I was hearing. From there it was a plastic guitar at age 6 and a "real" Lyle acoustic guitar for Christmas in '68. (It was like winning the 8 year old's lotto grand prize!)
A year or two later I wrote my first song on violin that was played by a couple hundred students at an assembly - I was hooked! I knew then that I was in love with the positive difference music could make in the hearts and minds of the listeners, (and of course the performers too).
After learning to play an acoustic, I plugged in and played in a 'Zany' cover band called the Hooters (later The Hoots, now Stevens Rocket and Flock of Beagles). Then for the last 15+ years, I've been doing a lot of solo gigs at clubs, listening rooms, coffee shops, churches and house concerts.
I've continued my musical passions in the workplace through writing custom compositions for private and corporate events; delivering keynote concerts and trainings such as Composing your Journey and TeamTune as the Motivational Singer; and consulting on marketing, sales and presentations.
